Ken Bird Park

Between Village and Miller Roads - 15 Acres
Bird Park is a recreation area offering tennis and basketball courts, a small picnic shelter, walking and biking paths, a parking lot and a playground designed for children ages six to 12.


Fetzner Park

Alexandra Boulevard and Shelton Lane - 22 Acres
A playground, Winding Creek bike path, and parking facilities are just a few of the amenities at Fetzner Park. The site also offers a soccer practice field, basketball court and a ball diamond designed for neighborhood play.

Four Colonies Park

Sarasota Lane, South of Barlina Road - 19 Acres
Offering year-round recreation opportunities, Four Colonies Park is home to a playground, picnic shelter, ice skating pond, small sled hill, two softball diamonds, a soccer field, basketball court, two tennis courts and parking facilities.

Hill Farm Park

Barlina Road West of McHenry Avenue - 15 Acres
Park District buildings including Barlina House, community gardens, a playground geared toward preschool age children, and Park District storage facilities are located on this site. Barlina House is the location of the Park District's preschool program, as well as, the Park Police headquarters. Each year many community residents enjoy their fresh flowers and vegetables grown at the Hill Farm garden plots, located behind the rustic storage barn and grainery. Plots are available for residents to rent each growing season.

Indian Prairie Park

Miller Road, adjacent to Indian Prairie School - 12.5 Acres
Three softball diamonds are home to many league games played by the Crystal Lake Girls Softball Association. A parking lot at the site is convenient for spectators attending ball games and for visitors using the sled hill during winter months. The sled hill is not staffed.

Spoerl Park

7610 Pingree Road - 6 Acres
A playground, two tennis courts, a basketball court, baseball diamond used by the Crystal Lake Babe Ruth League and parking facilities greet visitors to Spoerl Park. In addition, a multipurpose building, remodeled in 1986-87, offers on-site restrooms and a concession stand. A kitchen and classroom are located inside and Extended Time for kindergarten is held at the site.

Woodland Estates Park

Midlane and Tile Line Road - 13.5 Acres
Woodland Estates Park includes a basketball court, two tennis courts, a playground, pathway, ball diamond and parking lot. A gazebo, sand volleyball court and wetland area are also among its offerings.

Woodscreek Park

Golf Course and Ackman Roads - 40 Acres
Woodscreek Park is home to one of the finest outdoor play areas for children in Crystal Lake. Crystal Castle is a large community built wooden playground structure designed for preschool and elementary age children. Soccer practice areas and a bike path which connects Fetzner Park, Woodscreek Park near Woodscreek Elementary School and eventually Winding Creek Park is available. A multi-purpose building houses restrooms, Park District programs and public rentals at the park. Woodscreek Park is also the site of a Memorial Walkway and fishing pier. No swimming, ice skating or boating is allowed on the pond. A unique and protected wetland area surrounds the pond. A parking lot is available for easy access to the site.

Brighton Oaks

Ballard Road and Brighton Oaks - 2 Acres
This neighborhood park offers a playground, two tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic gazebo and parking lot.

Canterbury Park

875 Canterbury Drive - 6 Acres
Canterbury Park, located adjacent to Canterbury Elementary School, offers a parking area, ball diamonds, basketball court, and a large elementary age playground. The ball diamonds are home to the National Little League.

Cress Creek Property

Between St. Andrews and Barlina Roads - 2.5 Acres
Cress Creek offers an unpaved bike path/walk way along Cress Creek and through a wooded, natural setting.

Della Street Park

Della Street and Pauline Avenue - .25 Acres
Della Street offers playground facilities geared toward preschool aged children. Visitors can cross a picturesque creek by footbridge.

Naoki Kamijima Park

Edgewater Drive and North Avenue - 2 acres
Edgewater offers a pier on Crystal Lake for fishing and rowing club enthusiasts and a playground designed for children ages 5 to 12. Kamijima Park is the headquarters of the Crystal Lake Rowing Club, a park district affiliate.

Hampton Park

Saddle Creek Lane - 3 Acres
Hampton Park is a detention basin reserved as open space. It is an area that is used for team practices.

Knaack Park

Buckingham Lane and Sussex Lane - 6 Acres
A playground and softball diamond await visitors to Knaack Park. The ball diamond is available to rent for private use.

Ladd Park

Between Coventry and Devonshire Lanes - 3.5 Acres
Outdoor sports enthusiasts will enjoy visiting Ladd Park's athletic fields including a softball diamond. The softball diamond is available to rent for private use. A park playground designed for elementary age children is also available.

Lapins Park

Between Sands Road and Scott Lane - 1.5 Acres
A “neighborhood oriented playground awaits visitors to Lapins Park.

Samuel Johns Park

Westport Ridge Drive - 8 Acres
Samuel Johns Park, named after a former Crystal Lake Police Chief, boasts a playground, basketball court and a bike path. Samuel Johns Park is adjacent to Crystal Lake South High School.

Seminary Park

At Country Club and Golf Roads - 4.5 Acres
A small neighborhood park, Seminary offers athletic practice fields for soccer and football. The football fields are used in the fall as practice fields for the Crystal Lake Raiders Junior Football League. A pathway and footbridge invite visitors for some passive recreation with a stroll through the park.

Sterling Meadows

Amberwood Drive near Golf Course Road - 5 acres
Sterling Meadows includes basketball courts and a playground. A bike path connects to Willows Edge bike path.

Winding Creek Park

Miller Road to Penny Lane - 9 acres
Winding Creek Park is a small neighborhood park and bike trail. The bike trail is a part of a larger bike system being developed in Crystal Lake. Two ponds are also located on the site for fishing, however, boating and skating are not allowed.

Wyndwood Park

Sands Road and Wyndwood Drive - 5 acres
Wyndwood is a neighborhood park with a tennis court. A playground will be installed in 2007.
