Young Explorers Summer Day Camp has been American Camping Association (ACA) Accredited for 9 Years and has been named the 2010 ACA Program Excellence Award Winner. Read all about it!

Camp is not just entertainment and relaxation; it builds confidence, independence, and a sense of responsibility, community and an awareness of nature. The campers will meet new friends from all over town. They will develop social skills and patience, and learn water safety. Camp gives them field trip opportunities they might otherwise be able to experience, and informal sports they might not be able to start in their neighborhood such as sand soccer, whiffle ball, and capture the flag.
The benefits of camp extend further than just childhood development. Camp, and the experiences of camp, defines us even as adults. Camp has changed many lives, introduced people to new passions, and broadened horizons.

Children should be registered for programs according to the age they will be when the program starts or the grade they will enter in the fall of 2012.
A mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, June 7, at Park Place at 7 PM. Park Place is located at 406 W. Woodstock Street. At the mandatory parent meeting you will receive a parent handbook and have a chance to ask any questions you may have.

"The 10-Day Punch Pass is an excellent way for a child to be introduced to camp and other children."
quote from Christine Menzel-a parent who utilizes the Day Camp Punch Pass Program
Are you a parent with a changing schedule? We are now offering a 10-day Punch Pass at each day camp. The passes can be used any day, or you can make two one-week sessions with it. Once registered, you need to contact the office at least a day before your child will attend. The passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Passes expire at the end of summer 2012. Passes are sold on a first come, first served basis. There is a limit of 10 available at each camp. Parents will be notified upon completion of their Punch Pass.
